Day Trip to Stowe

This legendary ski town also caters to summer travelers, and is just a 45-minute scenic drive from Burlington. Head to the town center and keep your eyes open for the big church. Behind it you'll find the start of Stowe's bike path, which ranks in BTG's Top Ten Best Bike Paths in the North America. The smooth asphalt winds next to Mountain Road (Highway 108) and stretches 5.5 miles (8.9 km) to the path's northern end. It makes for a fantastic run, walk, or rollerblade!
